A Baby Diaper Cake!

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

I know that I did, I went to my cousins baby shower! I decided to make a baby diaper cake just like the one I made for my mom a few months ago. Although this one was for a baby boy so I changed up the colors a bit. 108

This is a very fun alternative to just giving someone a bag of diapers and it is surprisingly easy too. Chick here to see how I made it!

I also have her Organic Gentle Wash and Organic Diaper Rash Cream. These are my favorite baby products.

What do you like to give for a baby shower?
Did you do anything fun this weekend?

My Shoe Shelf!

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

This past weekend was beautiful!! I had to take advantage of the amazing weather and get some stuff done outside. One of them being making and painting new shelves for my shoe shelf!

Some of you might remember when I moved into my little sisters room!

Well my shoe collection has grown a little bit since then and I needed to add a few more shelves!

Brandon (From Simplee Green) had some extra selves in his basement that he was going to be getting rid of, so I asked him to if I could have them. Being the great guy that he is, of course he said yes!

First I checked to make sure that they were the same depth! They were! :)

001

Then I drew a line where it needed to be cut!

003
Here comes the easy part!!! I had my dad cut the wood for me LOL!

008
Once the selves were all cut…

010

I wiped them down with my favorite organic cleaner Shaklee Basic H.

013
Using the all purpose cleaner!

014
Next I primed the shelves!

017
I like to use Kilz primer.

018
Once the primer was dry, I painted the shelves white with Behr paint!

021
Make sure the shelves are completely dry before putting the selves on the shelf!
   023
I used some of our shelf hooks to add the additional shelves!

025

Now I can fit all of my shoes on my shelf… for now!

What do you think?

How do you organize your shoes?

Post a link and I would love to check it out!!

Duct Tape Bows

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

My little sister (Number 8) went to a sleepover where they made these cute duct tape bows and I just had to share them with you!

She made all 4 of these herself. What fun!!! :)

376
They bought the tape from Walmart!

373

They used clips to put it in their hair.

374

If you don’t have clips, bobby pins work too!

375

Have you ever made anything out of duct tape?  If so I would love to see it!

Or maybe you have another fun activity that you have done. We always love to try new things!

Happy Birthday Day Sign!!!

Hello!  I hope that you are having a great day!

Today, I wanted to show a Birthday sign I  made!!!

When growing up in a family of 12 kids, you can imagine how many birthdays we have each year. Last year I made this “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” sign that we use at all of our family birthday parties. We just used it again this past month and I thought I would share it with you.  Let me know what you think!

 172

It was fairly simple to make and dresses up any room for the occasion!

173

I hope you like it as much as I do!!!

Did you ever make your own sign?  I'd love to see it.  Please leave a link and I will check it out!

Thanks so much!

Have a great day! :)

Flower Pens

This past week I babysat for a friend. While I was there I noticed that she had the cutest flower pens that I have ever seen. I was looking at them closer and realized that they didn’t look very hard to make.

So… I went to the dollar store and I bought green florist tape, I used some fake flowers that I already had in my bedroom and pens from around the house. 039

Cut the flower stems off leaving about 1 1/2 to 2 inches left. 035

Hold the flower at the top of the pen and start to wrap the tape around to secure the flower.042

Continue wrapping the tape around the rest of the pen. 044

Until the whole pen is covered.051

Repeat for the rest of the flowers.049

When finished put all of the pens in a small vase and use as a center piece.091

I hope you enjoy making these flower pens as much as I did.  Altogether it only took my 20 minutes to make and only cost me $1.00 for the green tape. :)

P.S.  These make great gift ideas with a little note book !

What do you think, does it seem pretty easy?

Let me know how yours turn out!
